About Our Clinic
We are proud to offer a full service clinic, research center, and a complete laboratory. We diagnose and treat all disorders related to the endocrine system including diabetes – adult and juvenile forms of diabetes, and the associated diabetic neuropathy - all thyroid disorders, parathyroid disorders (calcium regulatory systems), all types of pituitary malfunction, all male and female hormone disorders, osteoporosis, hyperlipidemia (elevated cholesterol levels), etc. We take pride in spending time with you to get a complete medical history and order the appropriate tests to correctly diagnose your endocrine disorder. By scheduling longer appointment times, we can offer quality attention to each patient. We will gladly work with your primary care provider to diagnose and manage your endocrine disorder.
In fact, your insurance company may require a referral from your primary care provider in order to be seen in our specialty Endocrinology clinic. We request that all patients have a primary care provider, as we do concentrate on just endocrine disorders, and you'll need another provider to help manage any other medical problems. We also don't provide emergency care or offer any urgent care treatment for injuries or significant infections like bronchitis, pneumonia, etc.
We are proud of our success in treating endocrine disorders effectively and getting patients to the recommended goals. We treat diabetes very aggressively to get a patient to the current recommended goals in order to improve quality of life, and prevent long term damage to the body (what we call end-organ damage such as retinal damage causing loss of vision, kidney damage, circulatory damage, erectile dysfunction, nerve damage causing diabetic neuropathy, etc.). For example, some insurance carriers have ranked us in the top 3 clinics in the West for achieving excellent control of diabetes and preventing adverse events.
Our research center has several endocrine associated studies running at all times. We participate in studies looking at new treatments, or in exploring the refinement of current treatments, for diabetes, thyroid disorders, etc. If you have an interest in participating in such a study let one of us know, and we'll schedule an appointment with our Research Coordinator. Participants usually receive the study medication for free and usually receive free or reduced-cost lab tests, etc.
Our full-service, state-of-the-art endocrine laboratory is on-site, just down the hall from our main clinic. We take pride in making sure that our laboratory testing is accurate and up-to-date, following the current endocrine guidelines, etc. We have several protocols already in place to quickly and accurately diagnose rare endocrine conditions, or track down those disorders which are notoriously difficult to diagnose.
